DeafPedia (SignBridge) is an upcoming innovative online project aiming to create a comprehensive, inclusive, and fully accessible web-based encyclopedia about the Deaf community, sign languages, and cultural sensitivity. The platform will provide a safe, educational, and modern environment that connects hearing and Deaf users and supports mutual understanding 🤟🌍.

The website will feature 75 topics across 16 categories, covering a wide range of information—from the history of the Deaf community and the linguistics of sign languages to social, cultural, and educational topics.

Multilingual Access and Sign Language Translations 🌐

All content will be available in three written languages:

  • Slovak 🇸🇰

  • Dutch 🇳🇱

  • English 🇬🇧

In addition, the topics will be translated into:

  • Slovak Sign Language (SPJ) 🤟

  • Dutch Sign Language (NGT) 🤟

This ensures accessibility for users both locally and internationally.
