Innosign is proud to be the main coordinator of the IDEAL project, which focuses on enhancing the health literacy of Deaf adults through innovative methodologies.
This important project is funded by the Erasmus+ programme 🌍 and addresses the lack of accessible health information for the Deaf community across Europe.
The aim of the IDEAL project is to create educational materials and methodologies tailored to the needs of Deaf adults, including:
A comprehensive handbook for educators 📘, providing tools to strengthen health literacy.
A blended learning programme 💡, combining innovative and interactive teaching methods.
Awareness-raising videos in sign language 🎥, created by Deaf adults themselves.
A web platform 🌐, offering all materials and videos in a fully accessible format.
Training events for healthcare professionals 🩺, focused on effective communication with Deaf patients.
Through these targeted resources and sign language-based training, the IDEAL project 🩺 seeks to empower Deaf adults.
This will enable them to make informed decisions about their health ✅, contributing to greater social inclusion, improved well-being, and better health outcomes.
The project is a collaboration between partner organizations from Slovakia 🇸🇰, Italy 🇮🇹, Spain 🇪🇸, the Czech Republic 🇨🇿, and Hungary 🇭🇺.
It runs from 2023 until May 2025, with Innosign serving as the main coordinator.
