Innosign became a proud partner of the European project Financial Signs, funded by the Erasmus+ programme 🇪🇺.
This innovative project focused on developing the financial literacy of young Deaf people through modern educational tools in sign languages.
The project brought together experts and organizations from Austria 🇦🇹, Italy 🇮🇹, Slovakia 🇸🇰, and Hungary 🇭🇺, who jointly created content accessible in Austrian, Hungarian, Italian, Slovak, and International Sign Language.
Main activities of the project
1. Interactive clickable map
We created a digital map that showcased financial services, training opportunities, and best practices available for the Deaf.
The aim was to make verified information and learning opportunities more accessible in the partner countries.
2. Video toolkit
We prepared a series of animated videos on 10 key financial literacy topics – from personal finance management to budget planning. The videos were:
🖐️ available in the national sign languages of the partners,
💬 complemented with subtitles and easy-to-read texts,
📖 and included a glossary of sign language vocabulary for easier understanding.
3. Blended training
The project included curricula for professionals, specialized training for youth workers, and a pilot training for 40 young Deaf people.
By combining online content with in-person meetings, we ensured maximum accessibility and effectiveness.
Innosign’s role in the project
At Innosign, we contributed expertise in:

💻 accessible e-learning that promotes inclusion,
📘 consulting on the development of online training materials and video tools.
Our goal was to use technology, creativity, and deep knowledge of sign language to support equal access to financial education for the Deaf.
