Culture is our shared heritage, and everyone should have the opportunity to explore and experience it. This is exactly the idea supported by the ART&SIGNS 🎨👐 project, which focuses on making museums more accessible to deaf visitors. 🏛️
About the ART&SIGNS Project ℹ️
ART&SIGNS is a field project funded by the Erasmus+ programme for vocational education and training. It started in November 2021 and lasted 24 months. Its goal was to train museum staff and provide them with essential language and technical skills to better welcome deaf visitors. 👩🏫👨🏫
The project was implemented by eight organizations from Slovakia 🇸🇰, Cyprus 🇨🇾, Italy 🇮🇹, the Netherlands 🇳🇱, Romania 🇷🇴, and Spain 🇪🇸.
