PATH – Prevention, Awareness, Training and Help for Deaf GBV survivors

PATH: Prevention, Awareness, Training and Help for Deaf survivors of gender-based violence

For deaf survivors of gender-based violence, help formally exists but is out of reach: helplines are phone-based, crisis centres work in spoken language, and in a small community the interpreter is often someone the survivor knows. PATH answers with information materials in sign language, a glossary, training for social workers — and above all, sign language helplines in four countries: the Netherlands, Slovakia, Sweden and Czechia.

Innosign builds the Slovak helpline and the Slovak-language materials, working with the model already running in Sweden.
