Deaf Leader: training a new generation of Deaf leaders
Deaf organisations are often led by people who got there through determination and lived experience, not leadership training. Deaf Leader trains a new generation of deaf leaders in Czechia and Slovakia — how to lead a team, negotiate with authorities, plan a budget and prepare a successor.
The core of the project are two five-day international trainings in International Sign, one in Czechia and one in Slovakia. Trained leaders then run national courses in their own country. Innosign organises the Slovak part and contributes its experience with leadership and organisational development in the deaf community.
