The project called Career Paths Inclusive focuses on career guidance for deaf youth. Innosign is responsible for project management for DeafStudio within this innovative initiative, which aims to provide essential tools and support for young people with hearing impairments.

About the Project

Career Paths Inclusive is dedicated to creating and offering a variety of educational materials for deaf youth. The project was carried out between 2019 and 2021 with four project partners from Austria, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. As part of the project, we developed a Toolkit that includes several key components:

  • Interest Profile: This tool features 44 sign language questions designed to help users identify their interests and abilities. Based on their answers, the tool suggests three career areas that best match their individual preferences. This process supports young people in making informed career decisions.

  • Job Orientation Videos: Our videos in sign language come with subtitles and accompanying texts in easy-to-read language. In these videos, deaf adults share their personal experiences and explain what it’s like to work in various professions. This format helps young people better understand what different jobs involve and what skills are required.

  • Educational Videos: These videos provide step-by-step information about the job application process. They include animations, subtitles, and simple language to make them easy to follow. Topics cover important aspects such as writing a CV, preparing for a job interview, and strategies for successfully applying for a job.

Materials for Trainers and Project Managers

In addition to student resources, we also developed training materials tailored to the needs of deaf students and their trainers. These materials are based on our educational videos, enabling thorough use of the content during training sessions or counseling. They also include assessment tools and guidelines for creating educational videos in sign language.
