Innosign, founded and directed by Marek Kanaš, aims to bring innovative solutions for the development of the sign language community in Slovakia and the EU.

As a deaf person himself with sign language as his mother tongue, Marek Kanaš understands the importance of access to information and education in sign language. He founded Innosign with the vision of a world where the deaf have equal opportunities as the hearing.

As the director, he leads Innosign with extensive management experience gained in various positions. From 2017-2021 he worked as a project manager at DeafStudio, managing numerous national and international projects. He still participates in DeafStudio projects as a partner today. From 2018 to 2021 he was a board member of the European Union of the Deaf Youth (EUDY).

For over 5 years, he has managed various European and Slovak projects focused on the deaf and signing community.

As the director, among other things he organized the largest European camps for deaf children and youth in Slovakia within EUDY and SAKMN (Slovak Association of the Deaf Club Youth) in 2017 and 2018, which under his leadership recorded record participation.

The main focus of Innosign under Marek’s leadership is providing comprehensive support to organizations serving the signing community in Slovakia and the EU. This involves assistance in areas like HR, logistics, removing communication barriers, and project management.

Innosign also secures professional educational materials for the signing through partnerships. It has collaborated on numerous Erasmus+ educational projects.
